"lets not, and let 'em think we will.."

market soaring again today, all in anticipation of the pending free money gravy train from washington to wall street.

If washington keeps acting like a 'rescue' is imminent, and the market keeps soaring.. why bother with actually spending a dime on the mindless sheep that are so easy to dupe?

Its like poker. You have to show someone that money will soon be theirs. Then you slap down the 4 aces. (Sorry if the game term is incorrect, I don't play cards, yet have heard plenty about it.)

If someone has 4 aces than the royal flush is impossible in the same hand... :uhoh  straight flush to the king works fine for the win though.

True, unless there's a wild card! :D

I was just stating the rank, but you are correct; not possible in the same hand...   :salute

I never play card games for money that involve wilds anymore.

But you do have a point.

At a Holdem tournament a few weeks ago a guy had four aces and got beat by a royal flush. Worst bad beat ever.

Hang,

The worthless paper still has to be flushed from the system. Wall Street numbers are only now and with paper that is backed with redeamable funding. The trading is a grab for low priced deals while everyone holds their breath. The bailout is to let everyone who holds the worthless paper to call it in and get compensation so the economy dosen't tank. The United States economy cannot survive it's bluff called on a 700b to 1tr pot and everyone knows that.......

Community cards, bud- probably two aces dealt down to player A, a suited king queen to player B,suited  jack ace nothing card on the flop, suited ten on the turn and ace on the river...It was at a televised tournament. It happened early so not many saw it live, but they sure talked about it afterwards.

I hope like hell we do not do the bailout.  We can always regroup without further crippling ourselves with debt.

How so? I would like to not have to do a bailout, but what other option(s) are there besides letting these companies go under?
