For the actual thread... I hate to break it to people, but the US auto industry is dead already. It's just going to keep twitching for a bit.
Bill Heard just closed the doors at all of their dealerships.
Autonation, the biggest dealership group in the world, is starting to shut down their domestic brand stores.
Domestic dealerships are shutting down faster than I can buy out their parts inventories.
Import dealerships are just fine.
The only hope is for a "successful famine". In that, so many dealerships close so fast, that there is enough left over to feed the last few standing.
