if you people would go out and buy a new SUV or pickup truck they would not have to do that, i think ford is knocking $12,000 of the price of the 150 pickup.

hummm maybe a good time to trade in my Tacoma.. Being I don't have to drive much because I work from home I could drive a hummer and not burn a tank of gas a month.  :D

However I don't really feel sorry for them, when they have this car for sale in Europe and Asia but won't sell it here.

I would like to upgrade my business.. Would they give me 1 billion low cost loan.

These people are making me sick. In 15 years our country is going to be a waste land because of government hand outs..

Why would everyone in Washington do something like this. My guess its a election year and they need Michigan voters.

Makes me sick..

Please Ron Paul slap these people straight.. E

By the way if we have this 700 billion hand outs "bs" lets see some term limits tacked on because of their mistakes. That would never happen but we need some new blood in Washington.

You don't have the lobbying dollars or union clout to get a subsidy.

well ever since Al Gore and his liberal band of misfits convinced the gubernment that global climate change was going to kill us all, diesel has to be more refined to remove the sulfer content.

Frigging idiotic BS.  Meanwhile that blowhard tools around in a polluting G-4, has a 20k+ square foot house, and arrives at environmental rallies in a limo.

Frigging hypocrite.

The American auto industries can't survive with the Union choking them, while the auto retirees squeeze their balls.

It needs to die.  It can't be bought out.  It must be reborn completely free of the Auto Union, completely free of the Legacy costs that WILL cripple them.

Their bad decisions are a lot cheaper to bail out than Wall Streets bad decisions. They are both in business to make profits. If neither can survive on its own then both should die. Capitalism at its finest. If your investments tumble........well it is a gamble after all.  Sing Loi.

Multiple limos. 1 limo won't do, since his children and wife also need their own. They also leave them outside, running, with the AC blasting for the duration of the event.

For the actual thread... I hate to break it to people, but the US auto industry is dead already. It's just going to keep twitching for a bit.

Bill Heard just closed the doors at all of their dealerships.
Autonation, the biggest dealership group in the world, is starting to shut down their domestic brand stores.

Domestic dealerships are shutting down faster than I can buy out their parts inventories.

Import dealerships are just fine.

The only hope is for a "successful famine". In that, so many dealerships close so fast, that there is enough left over to feed the last few standing.
