GOP advisors declare McCain a coward.
« on: September 26, 2008, 12:27:40 PM »
"It just proves his campaign is governed by tactics and not ideology," said Republican consultant Craig Shirley, who advised McCain earlier in this cycle. "In the end, he blinked and looked unsure of himself and Obama did not. The 'steady hand in a storm' argument looks now to more favor Obama, not McCain."  Shirley added, "My guess is that plasma units are rushing to the McCain campaign as we speak to replace the blood flowing there from the fights among the staff."

They are just too stupid to see the brilliance of his plan. McCain showed that he puts America first and isn't just "on call". You think everyone won't be aware of that during the debates tonight? He played Obama for the fool and Obama obliged. Obama never should have rejected mcCain's call to delay the debates in this time of crisis.

I didn't expect everyone to see it. Fact is that McCain has outsmarted Obama at every turn. That's a quality to be prized in a president imo.

And just what exactly did Obama do to strengthen his position other then sit there and nod his head in agreement with his party?

Did he contribute anything constructive?

GOP is probobly upset McCain isnt following in pure lockstep with his parties traditional goose step.

Which if thats the case I salute him. He's earned some of my respect.
Too bad Obama doesnt have the stones to stand up to his party. but feels more comfortable playing the puppet to his parties puppeteer.
Or he would earn some too.

One thing is clear.
Somethign has to be done.
While my first thought is to let em all burn. The potential ramifications are too large to ignore.
Trickle down economics works in both bad times as well as good. Too many innocent people could possibly be decimated by non action.

The question is.
what?
None of the ideas I've seen are terrible ones.
The "on the backs of taxpayers" claims are only partially true.
Im not against the GOP Idea either

I suspect the best soluton would be a hybred between the two.

Problem is most Reps and Dems only see in two opposite colors.

But like it or not. And I admit I dont.
Something has to be done

Yea I'd think he was a jackarse because he is now putting my home at risk as well.
And because my home is now also at risk. I damn well better help him put it out.

And to prove his point, McCain is going to the debate to prove that he isn't going to the debate unless the bailout is a done deal. Brilliant :D

Umm...McCain is working with Bush to get "rebellious" republicans in line under the bail out.  So...I think you might want to rethink the way you are portraying McCain with a statement like this.

As I mentioned in another thread, he may have been instrumental in stopping a disaster from being rushed through. No bailout plan is better than a bad one imo. Unlike Obama, he took the time to find out what was going on and acted like a leader. How can you consider Obama a leader when he "defers to his seniors" in this crisis?

At the bipartisan White House meeting that Mr. McCain had called for a day earlier, he sat silently for more than 40 minutes, more observer than leader, and then offered only a vague sense of where he stood, said people in the meeting.

...

Still, by nightfall, the day provided the younger and less experienced Mr. Obama an opportunity to, in effect, shift roles with Mr. McCain. For a moment, at least, it was Mr. Obama presenting himself as the old hand at consensus building, and as the real face of bipartisan politics.

should be interesting debate tonight.  McCain has trouble simply expressing himself and Obama expresses himself simply too much.  If I get past the first ten minutes then McCain will be the next President, if not..... the TV is off.

Who were those people in the meeting saying McCain was vague?

I undertand the White House meeting was very heated.
