According to that link it appears that Governor Palin has declared everything that has been given to her.

She also apparently received 23 of the 41 gifts during her early months in office at least some of them were likely considered customary gifts.

Quote
The Alaska attorney general's office contends that gifts to a governor must be evaluated on "a case-by-case basis," Assistant Attorney General Judy Bockman said. Some are offered as "a courtesy," she said, to newly elected officials and are not considered an ethical issue.

Unless something comes up that shows some of these gifts were unethical this issue is much ado about nothing.

Can we get any pictures of her picking her nose?? I'm sure that would make a
good subject to criticize her about.   Another failed attempt to make her look bad.

Who is making an excuse for a crooked politician? Nothing in his link says she improperly accepted gifts. Only if she improperly accepted any of the gifts could she be considered a crook.

It really depends on if the gifts where hers personally, or if they where intended to remain with the Governors office.

At least one was intended for her personal use, the gold nugget lapel pin from the city of Nome. Even that gift isn't necessarily unethical or against the law. We would have to review the state laws from Alaska to find that out.

*edit* The article doesn't state which gifts, if any, were intended to stay with the Governors office.

Commenting on something that one apparently knows nothing about only makes that one look like an idiot.

dos equality..   you got to admit..

If the media were not so far left biased you would not be able to spam this board over and over with the national enquirer stuff that you have been.. you have legions of lefty liberals in desperation mode digging and slinging for you to quote.

meanwhile.. your guy was/is a crooked chicago politician who voted "present" most of the time except when he was voting lockstep with ted kennedy and his liberal ilk.. your guy was  named most liberal senator.

Your guy had a racist church with a racist pastor who your guy claimed was his mentor.

Your guys wife hates America and only now that she and her mate are in the spotlight feels any love for the country...

Your guy has a half brother starving to death on a dollar a month but tells us how we must be compassionate and how the rich (like himself) must "pay their fair share"

I know you are a bright guy and see how lopsided the media digging is and have to say..  if you can do this and still be their tool..  If you can see the unfairness and still be a part of it.. then you must really believe your parties line...
