Christmases in September for a Pony dweeb
« on: September 27, 2008, 01:45:52 AM »
On the first two I just happened to be there. The third is an intercept. I am text muted currently so couldn't even call for help.
A horde of low cons in big slow planes, truly a gift... but three times in one night? Extraordinary!

Steve, it was amusing to me when I saw that mob of Stukas rolling. The base was under heavy attack from GVs, thus the Stuka raid was diverted to helping clear out that mess. I guess the mission General didn't bother to check out the base before selecting it for the mission spawn.

I saw you when you arrived and warned the Stukas to "Watch the Mustang coming down!" Meanwhile, I was trying to get to an altitude and position to get my IL-2 within 23mm cannon range.

Once the GVs were beat off, the Stuka boys upped again and later, again.

Good stuff! I remember seeing your IL2 there. My thought was "of all these low planes, the il2 is the only one that can convert to threat quickly" with so many target I decided "avoid the ammo sponge, there are so many softer targets" Sure enough I ran out of ammo each time before I ran out of targets.
