On Topic: Considering only 2 rounds entered the turret, or was near it, it was bad luck. While the rest hit the chassis. I'm no GV expert, but I heard that the /85 had a improved chassis, along with slope armor, I'm not really sure that's a bug.

Off Topic: That's a nice look for the /85. Polka dots...  :) :D

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

It looks to me like a lot of the hits to the body of the tank hit on the sides at highly glancing angles.  If there were more direct hits into the armor I'd be more surprised.  This T34/85 driver got off lucky though.  It's decent, but the turret is made of wet tissue paper.

Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf H

Main armament -  75 mm KwK 40 L/48
Round Weight - 15lbs.
Velocity - 2,591'/s
Armor penetration - 1500m - 74mm

T-34/85
Armor Thickness

Turret Front: 94mm
Mantlet: 59mm
Turret Sides: 75mm
Turret Rear: 52mm
Turret Top: 20mm
Hull Front, Lower:45mm

The hits on the side and track don't seem it should do any major damage. Since your file is so big it would take to long for me to download it so I cant know the angle you where shooting from. Just from that picture and the armor and gun information I don't see anything wrong with it.

If you can load up the AHfilm.

I don't know about this one but I can tell ya from experience that the T-35/85's that I've been driving have all had glass turrets!  I get a single hit from anything and my turret is out.  I've had a lot of bouncing off panzers at close range and still takes multiple hits at close range to whack a wirblewind.  I'd like to find that T-34 that you were hitting and drive it for a few days. hehehehe

All the Best...

The armor worked for once.  That does happen ya know.   ;)

The turret of both T34 models have front armor made of cheese.  If you would have been dead on with a frontal shot to the turret it would have goen down.

I was just recently taught the trick of turning the turret ever so slightly to once side of the other when an enemy round is inbound.  Any straight shot to the front will knock out the turrent, but a shot that hits the side has a much better chance of deflecting.  Yeah, it is "gaming the game", but the T34 is not modelled correctly with its regards to its longevity and to compensate...

Also... hitting a tank from the front quarter is the worst place to hit it from.  Not only is the armor still the thickest, but the angle of the impact of the incoming rounds render them that much less likely to penetrate the armor.  Deflections are at the highest.  It is no different than skipping a rock over water.
