Seems the Reps are the only ones digging in their heels against this trillion dollar giveaway. They're the ones saying there has to be something in it for the taxpayer.

Isn't it pretty odd that Reid, Pelosi and Frank are pretty much going along with Evil Bush's plan while the Reps are not?

What's up here?

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Here's one for you. The bailout now includes car loans and credit cards.  :rofl :rofl Also, if the assets are sold at a profit, some of the profit goes to ACORN. That's the group that is in trouble in 12 states for voter fraud and they give money to Obama. BTW, Obama apparently caused the meeting to fall a part when given the leadership roll by the Democrats.  :rofl :rofl I say let Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae die.

I don't know Toad. There are better ways to do this than just handing out a trillion dollars. Those tards in Congress have to know as well.

It's easy.  If, for example, Senator Peccant supports the bailout, then his re-election campaign will be supported by wall street types.  When the fine senator visits NY for a ground zero ribbon cutting ceremony, his transportation will be paid for by the Wall St office of Avaricious, Inc. a high powered international banking and brokerage concern headquartered in Bahrain.  He will stay anaomously at the Avaricious owned penthouse suite on 5th avenue and will be attended to by several professional escorts.

His membership to Augusta National will be paid for by the Avaricious Atlanta office, and hidden so that he looks like he is simply a guest when he plays 18 holes.

What is wrong with a membership at the Augusta National?  I have close friends that have been long-time members AND I am a local... Now that everyone buys clothes made in communist china, india and wherever they have slave labor, it happens to be an important part of our economy...

snip from interview opposing chuck schumer:

DeMint, appearing in the same interview, likened the bailout proposal to "a car mechanic who tells you he wants $1,000 to fix something" and then having someone come back and tell the customer the real cost is $3,000 — to fix something else.

"The government broke it," he said. "I don't trust them to fix it."
