It might be just as Holden said Toad, corruption. Good ol boys protecting other good ol boys.
That infers complicity all the way to the White House (Which is pushing the bill.)
I don't think that at this point, there is not any perfect solution to this crisis; We should probably strive to do what is right at this time.
The problem is, defining "Right". Bail out the people who borrowed ridiculous sums of money on houses they couldn't afford in the first place? Bail out the companies who greedily lent the money, only seeing profits?
And, on a further note...what about that 700 billion figure? Is that actually enough money? Or should we have already upped it to a Trillion?
