Maybe I'm just having a bad day. But I cannot hit the shore battery from the 8 inch guns to save my CV.
I fired over 200 rounds just now at a shore battery and never hit it.
Just prior to that I leveled an Airbase, FH's, Bomber hangars, Fuel, Ammo bunkers, you name it, I blew it up. I know how to adjust fire onto target.
So why can't I hit the darn Shore batteries?
Rounds go out, Short. Add 400. Rounds go out. Still short. Add 300. Rounds go out. They. hit. the. exact. same. spot. on. the. SB. Hill. Add 200. Rounds go out. Same spot. Add 500. Rounds go out, ridiculously overshot. Drop 300. Rounds hit the same spot they were two fires ago. Switch to just adding/dropping 50M incriments. Still no hits on the SB. Now, despite not moving the windage at all, it too is off the mark.
Am I just having a bad night, or are SB's damn near impossible to hit unless you drive the CV right up onto the beach and direct fire into the damn thing? Because it was getting to the point of near-insanity on my end, watching the SB tear up the CV, and no amount of fire I'm putting onto that damn hill is stopping it. At the very least 600 8IN. Shells should've caused a land-slide.
I mean... here's kind of what it looked like on my end.

I mean... Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just me? Am I a bad Artilleryman? Or are these things set up to be ridiculously impossible to hit? That if you don't have the exact windage/elevation to a .0000X degree you'll never ever ever get a round on target?
