Mom's Computer is getting BSOD when....

When mom runs a film using Media player the computer reboots. Has anyone experienced this? It's a duo core machine on a gigabyte board with 2 gigs of memory. This doesn't happen with every video. It seems to be about every other one.

I've updated the video drivers. It's an 8600 card. Not the best but I thought it was good enough for playing solitaire.
I googled it and they said update the modem drivers. That was accoording to microsoft.
