 Niether Bush or McCain carried their states. No validation for their leadership.


"Several democratic committee chairs in the House voted NO, as well as about 20 junior democratic members who were up for reelection in vulnerable districts.  Apparently, they had been told by Pelosi and Friends that it was safe to do so, because there were enough Republicans voting for the bill to allow it to pass anyway.  In addition, several democratic majority leaders voted NO as well."

 Each side was supposed to come up with 50%

My congressman, Mike Rogers-R, Michigan was quoted in the news this morning as saying he voted no to spite Pelosi.

I sure am glad that I am represented by a deep thinking statesman type.

shamus...  If you vote against Pelosi every time then you will have made the only smart move 99.9% of the time.  It would be difficult to do a smarter thing than to simply vote against pelosi every time.

What I want to know is, if this was such an urgent issue, just had to get this bailout package passed before the world falls apart,  the WHAT in the hell are they doing taking time off, recessed until Thursday?  Give me a #$%K break, what a load of BS...
