Wow, this is the worst congress we've ever had in US History. And the sadest thing is, they just pin it on the Republicans and then get out scotch free. Very very VERY sad. I hope that Nancy Pelosi gets back handed by Obama when she makes him lose the election.
No one knows what the future may bring.

I think you are wrong Laser. Like always 90% + will return because it's 'not MY representative that's screwing things up, it's YOURS.'
Well, I can actually say thats true. Both Alabama Senators voted NO. I'm actually glad I emailed them my thoughts, short and concise, on the subject.

Later in the day I switched from media to CSPAN and watched Shelby give the Dems what for on the subject. He was the chair on banking a few years back and tried to get the reforms in place but was stymied by the Dems just like they did in the house in 04. Sad for us...

Here's a start.

Let's look at a couple of things in the bill.

SEC. 503. EXEMPTION FROM EXCISE TAX FOR CERTAIN WOODEN ARROWS DESIGNED FOR USE BY CHILDREN.

SEC. 504. INCOME AVERAGING FOR AMOUNTS RECEIVED IN 20 CONNECTION WITH THE EXXON VALDEZ LITIGATION.

SEC. 316. RAILROAD TRACK MAINTENANCE.

SEC. 317. SEVEN-YEAR COST RECOVERY PERIOD FOR MOTORSPORTS RACING TRACK FACILITY.

SEC. 309. EXTENSION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CREDIT FOR AMERICAN SAMOA.

SEC. 401. PERMANENT AUTHORITY FOR UNDERCOVER OPERATIONS.

Awesome.Perhaps someone smarter than me can explain what any of these have to do with a bailout.

They just can't help it.

I heard they are all chomping at the bit to get back to their campaigs for the election, and just put some lipstick on the house pig to bribe it's way through. They will be hiding under the unverifiable "The tone of the calls changed" mantra and hope things improve before Nov. 4 so they have another term for the voters to forget what happened.

what a disgrace.

lead is expensive. and i really don't want any more fecal matter in the east river.

using them for enriching tree chipper mulch would be beneficial to the environment.

I keep saying it: We need to fire everyone in Washington and start from scratch.

Nope. While they're in session, we need to show up with steel bars, steel flat stock, and welders. We'll just build us a prison around them that is in keeping with their thievery.
