Base ownership freezes when war is won!

In MW today when the knights won the war flying my 205.  Got 4 kills we took the last base and the base we just took turned back to Bish.  So there I am flying around with kills to land and the nearest friendly base is 2 sectors away.  So I deside to just fly till it boots me off because I was told that it won't count against you if you still in the air.  Wrong it never added those kills to my total as if that sortie never happened. 

I am sure that something similar has happened to almost everyone on AH at some point. 

Why can't the bases freeze ownership till the arena is shut down so people can land and exit without getting discoed?

100% agree.  Doesn't really make sense in its current form.

It is not wrong, whoever said that it counts was wrong. It basically does not record that flight, bottom line.

It doesn't "count against you" because sorties ended by a war win reset are not counted at all.  If this was an easy thing to implement I think they would have already done it.  Instead what they implemented is giving players the option to end their sortie in some way to have it count, or stay in the air to keep it from being scored.

So I would have been better off ditching rather that stay in the air?  That is if I wanted those kills to count.

My understanding is that even if you landed them, they would not count if the war has already ended.

If you land/ditch/bail/death/disco, before the terrain resets the sortie counts on score.  If you stay in sortie until the arena reboot, the sortie doesn't count.

Just make it so the Bases dont change is the simple solution.

A few days ago, I was defending a base.  I was taking off again, when de message came that the war was won...

I was shot down by Ack, since it wasn't an original home field...  Death counted though...

But since I don't play for scores, it didn't really mather...

That assumes there isn't something in the game architecture that doesn't make such a change "simple".

I wish skuzzy or someone at HTC would read these wishes so we know if it's either impossible or possible.  That way I could give up either way....I value the imput from others but we know nothing.

more than once we captured the base winning the war, then re-captured it so as too land our kills
