No doubt this has been asked for many times before.  However I think it would make a nice but hardly overpowering arena aircraft.  The P-47s we have seem to be rarely used and as far as I can tell, typically they are used for jabo missions.  P-47M would probably be useful enough in a pure fighter role to see noticeable MA usage, and of course I wouldn't be asking if I didn't personally want it.

Would give my eyeteeth for a P-47M. I don't think it would REALLY need to be perked in an arena that has unperked La7s and Spixteens, however, the fact that the USAAF needs a perk plane is perhaps one point in its favor.

As another Jug option, nearly all Ds in the ETO were tweaked by their crews to be able to pull 72" on the manifold in emergencies. This would be a nice perk option, as well as paddle-blade props on D11s.

A D11 with a paddle-prop pulling 72" might be the fiercest jug of all.
