which is better cat5e or cat6?

Which will give the least amount of trouble?
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

Cat5E is good up to 100Mhz transmission speeds, Cat6 is good up to 200Mhz.

Cat6 allows for a higher signal-to-noise ratio, giving higher reliability and higher data rates.

My rule of thumb is if it's less than 75ft I use Cat5E. Anything over that Cat6.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
