Good idea rip - we need some sort of game device to stop the 'jumbo perk point raids'.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

nope, don't need too, the 88 was one of the best anti-tank guns in WW2.   (Make sure you give us AP ammo, HT!)

I know but as back up if they get the 88. CYA
BTW Rommel was the first to exploit the tank killing attributes of the 88mm. Can anyone tell me where he first used it. I bet it isn't where most of you think.

Yeah, Rommel had it out with the local law enforcement guy in an Italian town. He was related to Mussolini so Rommel couldn't do anything about the situation that arised. Ya see, some of his Panzer crews went to a local Bordello, but a few deputies threw them out for making to much noise. Since he couldn't do much legally, Rommel unloaded a 88 PaK and blew up the water tank of the small town, just adjacent to the jail, thereby washing the beforementioned law officals out into the streets, from about a mile away.

And thus Rommel firsted used the 88mm as an anti-tank weapon.

Actually I've heard a few stories of a few German artillary sgts that were using the 88's to bombard villages in Poland and ended up knocking out a Renualt or two -- even a Russian Bt-5 around the fall of Poland when a the Soviet and PG's were pushing on a garrison, unaware of each other's presence due to bad weather.

The 88mm Flak guns first AT use was in the Spanish civil war in 1937.

A detachment of 88s were about to be overrun by enemy tanks, so they did the only thing they could.  They fire their AA rounds at the tanks...and punched right thru their armor easily.

They were not intended to be used as AT guns, but they worked anyways.

After than AP rounds were manufactured for the gun to make it a true AT cannon, though its still a bit large for that role.

I agree that the cities and vehicle bases could use some player run Flak guns.

Hans.

We have such a device.  It's called not letting island fall into enemy hands and capping the bloody thing if it does.

Correct, nothing is better at protecting factories than a fighter.

But those no good lard arses would like to just wait a bomber to come, blast it out of the sky without any risk of losing their life and then went to some other base to conduct their dweeby actions...
