Lasz. There are a few blacks who vote Republican, but they are as rare as dragon teeth.
The director of the school for adults with developmental disabilities where I work is a black lady. She has no college education, but is a fairly sharp cookie. In the three months that I have worked there I've had numerous conversations with her about our respective families, politics, etc.
Her family lives in a small town, and none are college educated, except for her two daughters. Decades ago, her father moved to California and made a killing selling real estate. He retired after his health declined, and he has now moved back to Arkansas. While his children are hard workers, they are typical of the black community here, in that they are FDR democrats, and want government programs to handle all of their problems.
Now, their old man is a Reagan REPUBLICAN....and wouldn't vote for a democrat for president if it caused the earth to break out of orbit. He has attended the Republican National Convention on more than one occasion. His money has allowed his children to buy up large amounts of property in our area, and each of them are living in a house that he has helped pay for, or else bought outright. While his kids see the virtue in work and personal responsibility, and live much more comfortable lives because of his Republican prosperity, they wouldn't vote for a Republican for president if it hair-lipped Obama.
It's sad really....that black people continue to put all their eggs in one basket.
