Please, use historical instruments and layouts only.

Ammo counters only for planes thad had them. Same with flap indicators. Gyro gunsights for P 51.

hristo,
All planes will have ammo counters/flap indicators.  It's one of those compromises we have to make for gameplay.  We try to come as close as possible to accurate guage layout.  Sometime compromises are made for the game, but I think we've been pretty good about it.  I don't think you'll be seeing gyro gunsights anytime soon if ever, but I'm not the programmer.  Gauges will be made according to country eventually, so they have the right look to them; along with the right written language.  The only country's guages we've done so far are the British one's for the Spit.

Thanx, Superfly. The closer you make cockpits to their historical looks, the better, IMO

Hristo be careful what you ask for.  If we remove ammo indicators from the Allied planes we might also have to remove lateral and directional trim from 190/109.

As soon as they remove the BUG that requires us to aileron trim, then they can remove it. Have to keep rudder trim 'cause not everyone has pedals.

Also can we have "kommandgerat" for the Fw190 only? Seems every plane has it at the moment.

From cockpit art the thread has successfully entered the field of plane trimming and engine modeling

Still, I'd go for as much realism as possible.

Check this out: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum9/HTML/000082.html   (WOMP my ISP a few times anyway)

IMO the spit FrontUp view (45 degree front up) should be modified.  Currently this view can be modified, so that it can provide ALMOST a Front view.  There is almost no obstructions from cockpit art in this modified FrontUp view.

IE: With this modified FrontUp View a target centered at the bottom 10%, is almost right in the center of the gun sight when the view is switched to Front.

In other words you get ALMOST a PERFECT Front view by using a highly modified FrontUp view.

I love my Spit, but this just seems too good and almost like cheating.
