Never saw this one, so curious.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Tupolev Tu-91 "Boot"  Russian carrier bomber. That "jet engine" is the 23mm tail gun.

I was reading about turboprop powered combat aircraft and there was a thing about the Tu-91, it was like an IL2 and armoured like a tank.  Would have been interesting in the 'Skyraider' close air support role!

Kruschev didn't like it and wanted missiles instead.

Its a Russian Ty-91, but I cannont find any articles on it, with out it being in Russian.
