EDIT: Just read your sig, Thrila, where does it come from? Some sort of war nursery rhyme? It's really amusing! 

It's a poem written to identify a 109F from a 109E from a book published in 1941 or '42 called 'The Magnificent Royal Airforce' or something similar.  I can't remember if the poem was written for pilots or ground observers. The book is currently AWOL in one of my boxes of books from when i moved house last year.

To be more specific it's an Australian F-111C. I can tell you a funny story about one of the four we modified into F-111C Recons back in 1978.

*Not that It made any difference (every kid who grew up in the late 50s/early 60s knew about this silly thing), but you really should rename your pictures.
