Nothing beat building ship models, then putting them in the creek, and then running downstream with the bb guns in hand, waiting for the ships come on around then bend. Some made it by, most didn't. Man, those were fun times.

Took one of my Olympic pellet pistol 10 meter targets and scanned it to a bitmap. I use 80 weight card stock and print out all the targets I need. Thinner paper shreds so you cannot keep neat holes in patterns. I print out center replacements for my 100yard center fire rifle targets on tan paper for the range.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

Cheerios work well.
Ritz crackers work well too. They have holes in them so they can be hung from a stick or tree branch by a string. A slight breeze makes for some fun shooting. It also provides instant feed back when you hit them as they break.
Necco wafers are also fun..
