repair hanger
« on: October 12, 2008, 03:23:32 PM »
A destroyable hanger able to repair fighters

and although wouldn't prove useful in main arenas, It could prove useful if ENY is bad or if your in a special event

The worse the damage the longer you wait

Sure, sounds fine, but make it so it can repair anything.

There has been many times I would like to have such a feature in game. The thing is though, the only way I would support this is if it took at least 2-3 minutes before repairs are completed.

Reasons

1) It should take longer to repair (as an average) a plane than to rearm it.

2) The original poster's (it seems) reason for this wish is ENY is played against him and there should be some kind of price to pay for keeping a plane that would normally not be allowed due to ENY. The ENY was placed to help even things out when numbers have gotten out of hand and there should be some way to rebalance things when these guys try to re-use planes that would normally have to be re-upped.

just my opinion

I don't know engines take time to fix. Depending on damage taken I can see this. Then again the realism of the game is wishy washy anyway so why not? In

Must admit, that earlier today I was flying a 262...  Was enjoying myself, but tool a single ping to an engine.  I was forced to land and tower out.  If I caould have taxied to a repair bay and sat there for 5 or 10 minutes to fix the engine, I probably would have done so.

No.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

No, but that would be neat to see that animated hanger. Would be nice to hear something else whilst waiting on the runway.

Only if its realistic, and I mean realistic! If you have an oil leak, shattered windshield, snapped aileron, snapped elevator, rudder missing, hydraulic line shot, and a chipped prop. Expect to stay in the hangar for the next few days.

You call zooming across the grass taxiing? Because that's what would be happening.

Imagine the easy kills as they are sitting in the hanger for 5-10 minutes.  :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I am sure this would breed all kinds of vulcher accusations, my way of thinking is that if you take the risk then suffer the consequences.

You call zooming across the grass taxiing? Because that's what would be happening.

In my experiences, after so many collisions with small base objects while zooming across that grass, I've learned to use and love the nicely paved and object-free taxiway... might just be me though.
