Cause they beat the #1 team? Cause the #3 and #4 teams LOST!!!!...Cause Alabama didn't play? Your just a soreazz as always....Big 12 has arguably the best QB's in the nation as a conferance...ESPN touting that btw.

Texas has Mizzu this week...and 4 currently ranked opponants left this year.

Get over it....your Grade School doesnt play out of the local PeeWee league.

Espn, lmao.  http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/?p=1406

wait til usc loses at the end of the year like they always do.  Maybe someone from texas can single handedly beat them......  Again.

USC has only lost 1 post-season game under Pete Carroll.  Should check your facts sonny boy.

Prolly cause Alabama WAS off...and add to that , that #1 gets beat by #5 in a great game. I have no idea really how the pollsters figure out things  , but I figured Texas would move to #1. My dad said no way that alabama would...

IS Texas the best team in the country? Maybe not....but then again they haven't lost....they beat #1 and after watching Mizzou this past weekend against OSU....Texas very well could go undefeated. OSU and Mizzou , who had 2 of the highest powered offenses in the nation , didn't look all that good. Maybe the defenses played better than I saw...really no idea.

The team that looked so good was Florida. They looked like the #1 team they were at the first of the year.

One thing about the polls. Coaches can lobby....Publicly and behind the scenes.

Sign's still in the yard. Stickers still on the truck and van. Living room is still Crimson and Creme. Weather is starting to cool off, OU sweatshirts abound. I'm not even a native.

Boomer Sooner!

EDIT: LSU deserves #1. They are killing it this year.
I guess you missed the Florida game.

Texas sucks, and so does their entire conference.  I could say more, but that sums it up nicely.
As a rule of thumbs, Big 12 and Pac always are overranked, because their conferences are easier to go through without a loss.  It doesn't mean they deserve it, and that usually comes out when an SEC team totally kicks them in the final game. :aok

Alabama will have to play Ole Miss(who slaughtered Florida), Tenn(who is a great rivalry), LSU, and most likely Florida to win the SEC, as the only undefeated team in the strongest conference in the nation, I thought they should have gone to #1.  It doesn't really matter though, it's going to be a fun season and hopefully a memorable one.

:rofl The SEC is a good conference....But they aint the only conference. Lets see...SEC....Florida #1 loses....LSU #1 loses...

Things change in Football...Big 12 isn't weak...and has some pretty strong teams....but you go ahead and drink that sports media koolaid that the SEC is the greatest thing to hit the NCAA since Notre Dame.

but they somehow always manage to lose one game at the end of year to keep them out a championship game or winning it.  UCLA?  Standford?  How did you guys lose UCLA?  How can ANY team let one person tear them a new one in a national championship game?  Now lets talk about present USC.  How did you lose OSU?  Oh that right you lost because you couldn't stop one person with you "awesome" defence.  Then i wasn't impressed this weekend with the game.  Basically USC shouldn't be anywhere near the top 5.  You lose to an unranked OSU team that is bad and not mention you got pwned by them and still in the top 10?  USC is way over rated.  They will get owned by Penn St. at the rose bowl.

This years Red River Shootout Of Texas vz. Choklahoma reminds me of another game two years ago....Michigan v. Ohio St.   After a high scoring affair where Defense was totally absent, all of the coll football experts could see no other matchup for a Natl. Championship game.

Well, the BCS somehow didn't blow it, and Florida was given a chance to play in the game most experts thought they didn't belong in.

OSU was beaten by Florida in the 2007 BCS National Championship Game, 41-14.  Mr. Heisman, Troy Smith completed just four of 14 passes for 35 yards along with an interception, a fumble, and was sacked 5 times against an elite SEC Defense.

The experts don't know S.

Alabama has a good defense this year, they have everything there to win it all, but it is college football and you never know.
