Perks only good for arena you earn them in

Ack, how do you know they're doing what you say they do?

These stats were gained in two sorties within about a half-hour timeframe (I was in MW at the time):

that has already been explained ... and in some other post in another thread, he has freely admitted that he does this to gain perks to fly perk planes in the LW.

What would happen with our perks if they did split up? Would they divide what you have into each arena? I for one don't fly in the EW or MW, ever. I'd like all my perks to stick in the LW...

I would think HTC could come up with a code that splits the perks based on time spent in each arena over, say, the last three tours.

Might as well go all the way with it and make it possible to have separate squads in each arena, too, much as the AvA is completely separate from the Mains.  That way a person who likes to float can be a member of a dedicated MW squad and a member of a different dedicated LW squad simultaneously.

Pretty straightforward idea.  It was a mistake for perks not to be arena specific in the first place.

Eh, that kinda ruins the fun for yourself more than anyone else... (I mean perk farming in MW and EW)

I think one of the funnest aspects of the game is going through all of your perks, starting at square 1, and flying planes other than spit 16s and La7s to get your perk count higher... Makes you a better pilot and you're rewarded with points to blow away on planes that you earned the right to fly.



Edit: Another good way to counter this is to have your perkies stop after 10k perks.... For 1: It gets you interested in SPENDING the perkies, 2: Keeps perk farmers to a bare minimum if HTC doesn't give us this wish, and 3: Would you really need any MORE than 10k perks?? I have 3k fighter perkies that I blow away to 1500 or 2500 only to bring back up during the tour... I'd say a limit of 5k fighter perkies, but people see a need for perks a lot more than I do.

You come off as someone who cares that he cares....

Maybe he cares because he views it as other players exploiting the sytem to grief those that aren't exploiting the system?

Why do you care?

Because this squadron is basically exploiting the game mechanics to earn perks without any risk for doing so.  I don't think HiTech had in mind players vulching squadron mates to farm perks when he designed Aces High.  It pretty much defeats the purpose of having a perk system and in addition, the actions of Luftmorder and anyone else that engages in this forces the game play down the crapper.

If that's okay with you, then so be it though it does say a lot about one's character to condone such negative behavior.

Sounds like a decent idea.  You all just want to deprive me of perks .  Lucky to earn 150 a tour in all arenas combined with my flying.
It does, however, sound like a good idea, would be nice to have implemented.

Well, the above posts say it all...
Ooop's somehow I had the idea that people would
know this instinctively.. Hmmmm, guess not...

I sometimes see my own countrymen doing this.. (more than 1)
Vulchin his buddies 2nd account for score and perkies..
I don't say anything about it, and I don't partake,
even when offered.. But it does effect how I view
the players that engage in that behavior...
Its not a positive thing, actually very disappointing...

Although I will probably never meet them in real life...
I do get a mental picture of the player behind the stick..
Some type of personal rapport must exist between players
in game, for them to function as a team, or even a gaggle...
When ppl start the "vulch their buddy for score" thing, I
manage to drift to another part of the map.. And start looking
for another group to fly with... Its better than an insult throwing
match, name calling, and all that hate and discontent..  

I have plenty of perks, that I hardly use... Scrapped for every
one of them too... Got killed PLENTY in the process.. Perk farming
seems like collecting bounty on enemy heads, that you chopped off
previously killed corpses... Or, a boxer winning a rigged fight...

Its just simply lowdown...

How many people go into LWBlue just to be able to landgrab or milkrun?
More than are willing to admit it I bet.

Probably would be a big headache for HTC, but this would seriously impact gameplay in a GOOD way.

And give ppl ever more reasons to stick in one arena (a lot new "I cannt get into ** arena" whines included)? I dont sure its what HTC looking for.

I dont see benefits from perk separation. If someone want to farm a few perks he can do it in any arena.

I dont care how ppl gather their perks.
