you guys are usually pretty good at this. my buddy saw this, not sure exactly where he's at but somewhere out in the pacific. (hes on a los Angeles class)



maybe a PBY?

Definately a PBY.  The single mast with the wings folding down on either side and the nose gives it away.  Cool find.   :aok

I agree it looks like a PBY, but it seems a bit small to me.  maybe its just how the pic was taken

This looks like the same, or very similar condition, aircraft from a different angle.

I would have to think that that is the same aircraft.  Just looking at how the rear is resting, it just look so similar.

pics look like the same PBY, 2nd pic was probably earlier though cause it doesnt look like the right wing has collasped yet.  Funny it looks in pretty good shape considering, I would expect more rust, looks like just the fabric, rubber, and paint gone, glass and access planes stripped.

same plane yes but the pics were taken at different times.   The wings were fairly well attached at one point.  Then some idgit probably tried to climb on it for a picture and now both wings are busted.
