Who to send film to of questionable behavior?
« on: October 17, 2008, 04:58:56 PM »
Have a film of some questionable in game behavior from earlier today.  I have no attention of making an issue of it here in the BBS, but wish to send it to HTC so they can decide if it merits action or not.

Should I email that to the support@hitechcreations.com address, or is there a more appropriate place to send it?

Thanks in advance

Actually you should post this film and let the Peer Council make a judgement.

"I got better ...
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I think I'll pass on that invitation.  Primarily because the person in question may actually be innocent of any wrong doing.  I'll allow the powers that be to make that call, thank you very much.

You could outline what happened without names. Seeing as you've not come here trying to start fights and drag people's names through the mud I'm sure it wouldn't a problem.

Definitely send the  film the HTC but don't leave us hangin' man!  :lol

It's really nothing more then someone I suspect may be fiddling with cables to intentionally warp.  I sent HTC a fairly long clip of the occurence, I'll let them decide if it is really anything hinky, or just a guy having a poor connection.

Well, that was boring!  :furious

Hahaha. I see it happen sometimes... Fortunate 'evasions' only when I fire my guns.

It makes sense that that might happen though.... bullets = more information, more information = slower transfer.

Happens rarely and even less often to my detriment.

If they suck badly enought to have to try this garbage.... well, they're no master pilot.

Normally I would think along this same line...  Bullets = little lag

But in this case, I was just following the guy, from about 400 out or so.  The warping was definitely not related to me firing.

Dave there was a thread response to something like this a few weeks ago. I think Dale himself wrote it, but he basically said that at the speed everything transmits at there is no humanly possible way to "make" yourself warp in and out of situations. The lag time between each individuals computers and the tie to the server does not allow it. Basically the guy who was warping has a crap connection and or computer.

Dale gave a more scientific explanation of the same allegations, but I can't remember where the thread is.

Hope this helps.
