Lol, this is politically motivated response but wouldn't you, as a law abiding citizen of UK, give up some of your privacy to make your country more secure? For example, if the government wants to tap all phone calls in US for keywords that relate to terrorist activity, I will gladly say go on ahead, plug me into the system that will make the country more secure.
Don't want to hijack the thread this just jumped out at me in a political season in the U.S. Carry on
In the UK we have something called GCHQ. All phone calls, e-mail, phone text is monitored. I wouldn't be surprised by mentioning MI5 here it'd be picked up. When it comes to finger prints and retina scans it's not going to do or save anything or anyone. It's total bollock let alone an infringement on civil liberties.
Mohamed El suicider fly's in and gets checked out but he's "clean" then walks into a New York night club with 2 lb of Semtex strapped to him...so much for that load of bull.
I've visited the states a few times. Lived there for a good few months. I really like the places I've been and the folks I've befriended but if you want my finger prints / retina scan
stand up and charge me with something.
Man! it's like the terrorists have got ya by the short an curlies. Could you imagine crossing your state line and being finger printed a retina scanned....how long would that last?
