can a H2H game be set up with password
access only??

needed to prevent un-invited types from
crashing a planned private event??

and conversly, could some sort of "flag"
be shown for those H2H games which are "open"
to any and all... )

I agree this is something that should be built into H2H.

With this style of server interface where all games are listed either the ability to kick a player, or prevent them from joining are needed.

Yes I experienced the need of a password yesterday. I was trying to persuade an old EAW mate to give AcesHigh a chance. It was a big progress just to get him in there, but then some more skilled guys came in and shot the crap out of him.
I am paying for AcesHigh so I dont need the free 8-player just to fly around in, but I definitely need it for getting some more EAW players into the AH community. - And that requires a password option.
Hehe btw.. I am about get myself a reputation as a salesman for HitechCreations at the EAW zone, they are starting to ask if I get payed Snef and Camo from LLv34 does a good job too, with getting serious EAW-pilots into AH. We will all benefit from that, EAW-pilots are generally better looking and smells better than people from other sim-communities hehe

ROFL GB!

Password would indeed be great.  Has anyone tried if .eject works?

And what about icon range/type host settings? I haven't had any luck with adjusting them...

The password for h2h arenas is in the message sturcture. I just havn't put both ends on the test for it yet. Hmm wondering how about using the password only for enabling flight. I.E. you can get in and chat but cant fly until you give the password once?

Sorry HT but the password to get in is a better idea, it will stop people comeing in and filing up slots for the people who are supposed to be there, it will be no good haveing unwanted guests in there arena even if you dont give them the password to fly there just filling one of the 8 slots intended for a mate. And unless you can eject tham from the arena some how, might just stay a get pissed off at you asking them to leave all the time, meanwhile your intended guests are getting fed up with trying to get in. Yes a password for entering Arena is probably the best thing, - to have the option that Hitech mentions could be okay too. It could be fine if the host can change the password to none during flight, just as we can with the other things in the Arena setting dialog.
I have posted wishes to 8-player multiplay before. I dont think any of them were fullfilled, but I actually thinks that the 8-player feature is okay as it is. - Except for Password  offcourse.

GB - otherwise ok except I'd like the ability to mess with the icons!

About H2H connections - we did some testing last night and some players got "host connection lost" all the time and couldn't get in at all.  They got into the Main and Training arena ok, though...

We need a password/kick function. I had a terrible expierence last night with some party crashers. Was trying to fly some low key training flights and a couple of bad apples showed up and started harrasing me and the other plane.
Since h2h is a free service and the admins can't expel someone w/o an account pic/films are no detterent.
Other than that I LOVE this game!

The idea of password protection for the H2H feature is one that is dearly needed. People being the curious creatures they are will invariably check out whats going on. In most cases just asking folks to leave and informing them what is going on works, but as was mentioned, some dont care. We are trying to use H2H to wean some of our Squad m8s off another sim  <G>  and gate crashers do slow that process up

Well said Jim
I had another exp. last night that was much more positive. I joined a pre-existing game and asked if they had an open game. Since they responded affermative i stayed and we had a wonderful time. So now I know you can have both types of experiences.
I now hope that in the future we can also run open and closed game
ps thanx for the game rocket et. all
