Kill shooter

HTC,

I understand the importance of Kill shooter and I don't disagree with it over all.  But tonight I encountered a situation that shocked me to no end.   I was attacking a Knight fighter and was saddled up nicely when another bish fighter dropped right in front of me as I was firing.  I ended up dead due to kill shooter.   Well I saw the guy was new so I thought I would let him know in private that when you cut into the bullet steam, the guy firing would get killed.   I quote here what he said to me. " I don't care if you get killed.  I got the kill and that's all that matters to me. "    I was not rude to him. I just pointed out the facts.  The more I think about this the more pissed off I get.  I didn't mean to hit him, but he DID mean to cut in front of me!!!

I still believe Kill shooter needs to be in place to keep the " loose cannons" in check, but on the same token, what's stopping this kind of madness?  Nothing!!  If we have to have kill shooter, make it so the guy in front Go's down too.  Thats the only way I see to avoid this type of thing before it happens again.

<S> All!

This is my official graduation from lurker to poster.

I had a similar problem the other day when a teammate stole a kill.  I had jumped this 109 and shot his wings off.  Trying to conserve ammo in my spit9 I watched him plummet to earth belching smoke.  Then some joker on my own side chases the 109 down and finishes him off.

All I got was the lousy assist

I can't remember who he was but I was just wondering if this was regular or if there was some unofficial code of conduct or something.  I knew myself that such a thing was possible to do so I never messed with someone else's kill.

I could see accidents happen but this joker went out of his way to follow that 109.

Kills are hard enough to come by anyway, for me at least.  As a fresh from AW/FR dweeb I am climbing a steep learnig curve here.  Just want to say thanks to all the veteran AH pilots who have helped me and the other AW pilots out in our transition.

"KILLSHOOTER" is AH's way of dealing with fraggers.  Personally, I preferred AW's "PNG" system--shoot down two friendly planes, and no more ammo for you for a specified time (usually 24 hours).  If your name is continually recorded as PNG, then you get permanently banned.

I have never died to killshooter, but I still don't like it.

STRK--The guy who stole your kill may not have realized that the 109 was so badly damaged--sometimes it can be hard to tell exactly how much damage has been done to a plane (I've accidentally done this before, too).  It MAY have looked like the NME was trying to escape.

However, he may have done it on purpose.  The AH comunity looks down upon people who deliberately steal kills.
