World Series thread

Now that was a good game!  It was even over by midnight EST! :aok

Fine, Upton had a bad night, and so did Longoria, but I don't doubt that they'll be back in game 2.  On the other hand, Howard is in a slump that shows no sign of letting up.

Look for the Rays to make a comeback.

The Phils pitching falls of in talent after Hammels.

Yeah, I think the Rays are a big favorite tonight, unless they Phillies decline the designated hitter spot and send Myers to the plate. :P

:rofl No one pays attention if the Red Sox aren't playing.

St. Petersburg may have fair weather TB Rays fans, but it seems like the Red Sox people are fair weather baseball fans. :P

Woohoo!!!!  Big Game James pulled through for us last night.  And the defense shone bright.  Nice double play by Rocco Baldelli!!   :aok  One day off and in Philly for Garza and Sonnenstine.  Quality pitchers still coming for Tampa Bay.  Upton finally got his bat going again.  If only Longoria would stop swinging for the dang fence.  Anyhoo, I get to go to bed early tonight.   :)

Go RAYS!!!!!!   :rock
treekilr in game.

The media forgets that there's baseball played in places other than New England and the West Coast.

Nope. I stand by New England. Because the East Coast includes Florida, Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Washington, all of which mas as well not exist as far as the media is concerned. I WILL give you Atlanta, but is that really all that surprising considering how closely their recent history was tied to a major national media news outlet? (Turner)

So, what are the odds that Moyer doesn't throw batting practice to Upton and Longoria tonight?
