New Pilots/Landing
« on: October 27, 2008, 05:01:12 PM »

You new guys that have trouble with landings, and think you need a perfect runway
and a straight course, no worrys mate! Watch my "quick-landing" film in a 190. My approach
speed at the field edge is over 300, and didnt even need the runway! I may not be a very
good "Dogfighter", but I can sure land some real monsters really well. Practice a belly-
landing on a CV if your having problems rolling off.  :aok

I would've taken her on in to the vehicle hangar, myself.

I didn't see your film but one night I came into a VB deadstick.  I was going to belly land and stop on the main hanger pad but came in too hot.  I skidded over the pad, between the hanger, the hedgerow and the tree right into the indestructable building and stopped only a few feet from the back wall.  Whew!
