Make bridges over real rivers, canyons or obstructions. Have them placed over real obstructions.

And make them so you could destroy them. And then with time would automatic rebuild.

This would add a dimension that took place in WWII. Remember Germany, Italy and France, etc?

You could use dive bombing or bombers, etc. You could even use engineers to set charges to destroy the bridge.

Striking a base supply line bridges to slow down the supply chain of base rebuilding.

This would be more effective to shut off the supply to the base as a whole.

Fuel and ammo would be lost first. This would also keep the down the hangers from popping up after 15 minutes to a full 25 minutes.

If they wanted them fixed quicker make a engineer group for the M3,C47 or jeep transport to  rebuild the bridge.

Just food for thought.

Even though destroying bridges and such has been wished for already, this is much more well thought out, and far less squeaky begging. Therefore, I support it! :aok (Not that my support has much influence...)

Was thinking about posting a topic on this last night. Hence I'm a P47 pilot and so is my squadron. WE could use more targets to strafe/Dive bomb and bridges would make it perfect. :salute

I support it.

Natural choke points.

Should be a defend able bridge between most GV spawn points and the field they are spawning to.
And, if needed, should be able to destroy the bridge. Make them go a long long ways around.

Definately! Me and a Squaddie went train hunting about a month ago when the Tunisa map was up in the AvA. There's a good challenge that shoots back for those that want to learn ground attack skills. modifying the bridges, ect. in the game will only broaden the appeal for everyone involved!

Would be nice if the, "Cross underneath, get flipped in your jeep" bug was fixed first.

The original Air Warrior had destroyable bridges that, once destroyed, prevented access of GVs to terrain areas.

In fact, Aces High also has that capability (not currently implemented apparently).  I recall a Soviet-Finland scenario that employed destroyable bridges that prevented ground access.  Defending / destroying the bridge was an important part of the scenario.

Even being able to fly under a bridge would be a huge improvement. It may look like a bridge, but it's really just a hill. WTH.

There's some weirdness involved with the bridges- you can normally drive through them, but flying under one ends abruptly each time I've tried it- as though they're solid objects.
