NO

If you can't handle what someone's said, it your own bloody problem.  I don't mean to be offensive, but IMO this it true.  If you find a person annoying/stupid enough to make you want to ignore them WITH AN IGNORE FEATURE, then stop being lazy and ignore them yourself.

Yeah, well I was in an exceptionally bad mood that day, and also that guy put what amounted to porn in the thread, so I seized my opportunity.

I'll just take a moment to point out that this isn't a discussion, and you really don't have any say in the matter regardless. If you think it's great that the forum is filling up with half witted kids, fine. I don't feel the same.

It is a discussion, and I have just as much say as you do (i.e. very little, since at the end of the day it's HTC's call as to whether he wants to put this feature in or not).
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Hubs don't you think leaving the tards on their own would just amplify their crap once they were isolated? Like removing banks of trees from the edge of a sand desert?

With an ignore feature, I'd never really know. Victory enough.  ;)

Let me preface this with, this isn't directed at anyone specifically in this thread....

That said, what we really need is a content ignore feature.

I find that there are more then one type of useless poster.  Here are a few of the types I would like to ignore.

1) The village idiot/Pre-pubescent tard
2) Mr Smiley Face man:  Every post consists of nothing but one or more smiley faces
3) Mr I've been flying flight sim games since before the Wright Brothers were born, so I know everything and nothing anyone who hasn't been flying flight sim games since before the Wright Brothers were born has anything worth reading to say, so I will take it upon myself to redicule those posters every time I have the opportunity.

So rather then a hamfisted "Ignore User" function, I dream of a filtering system that will weed out the useless posts without blocking the occaisional bit of wisdom that might come from #3 when he/she comes down from his/her high horse to spend a moment with the unwashed masses.

I know, but it doesn't hurt to dream.

He's always been a "hypocrite", it's why I laugh at his teenage dimwitted remarks to the rest of the Community.   When he moves out of his parents basement and has to work for a living, he'll understand.

Please for the love of god or who or what ever you believe in add this feature. Some people can just derail and run a topic into the ground.

If you want a board feature request, you best come with a link to the ready made mod.  I'm sure the Skuzster has too many duties to be scripting custom mods.

You gents need to get after this Rudolf person to confirm his Ignore User Mod for compatibility with SMF 1.1.4.
