Screen shot of the CV path showing where you were taking it. Otherwise I would say they were keeping you from hiding it. Seen that all to often by many sides.

the CV was FAR from "hidden" it just wasn't SMACK IN THE MIDDLE of enemy territory..  it was about a sector and a half from the nearest enemy base.

I too don't like when people squirrel the boats away to where they are useless, but that was not the case in this situation.

I think the thing that got under my skin, is that what happened after we took it, REALLY pointed out, underlined and highlighted the prevalent MA attitude of "anything you can, any way you can".  seems now the majority of the folks you see in the MA are not focused on having fun playing a simulation, having a good fight, but instead derive their pleasure from finding and exploiting the quirks of the game.

Wingnutt, obviously you guys weren't using the boat, so in most cases, yes you were "hiding" it.

I agree with what Chalenge posted.

the boat was still being actively DEFENDED when it was taken over, so no, it was not on the offensive, but only because it was still being attacked, it was nowhere near out of action, it was the center of attention when it was commandeered by capt Benedict Arnold.

and I am not naming names, period, doing so (IMO) is a violation of the forum rules.

but I will say said person is a member of a squad not exactly known for honorable actions.

I will leave it at that.

You could not be more wrong, I think you missed what he explained, I had pointed this out while it was happening that night.

The port was captured by the NME while we had control of the CV, the person that had control of it put it into a triangle shape course that extended no more than 1.5 sectors away and bringing it back through the PT spawn, we repeatedly tried to get the CV released from this person by PM's, VX, etc,, the CV was eventually sunk due to this, we could not move it from spawns, bombers etc.  This person was afk for over 4 hrs with control of the CV, while it was on the outbound leg it was safe and out of view but discovered easily at the coast.

As for hiding it: we had all but one CV at or near the ports with no intention on hiding them whatsoever.  They were in that configuration to keep the overnighters from doing just that, stealing them and hiding them from us as this has been the case on the same map before.

This person was the highest ranking Bish logged on at the time, having some type of timer in place to prevent this in the future would be acceptable. IMO

Another negative side effect of rank!

Edited for realism.  :salute

I saw it myself, he was the Highest ranking Bish logged on and in the Top Ten.
You would think that having the high rank takes on some type of chivalry or honor, but it doesn't, if "doing the bad thing" was intentional or not that is not up for debate or important as having a system in place to prevent it.

That was sarcasm, btw.

So who was this?

I know it was,  :D

He is in the list of the great ones above...... :lol

Name please.

Why would you respect someone who's obviously such a dweeb by protecting thier identity?  I think they should be called out publicly.

I dont recognize any name as being bish. I wasnt intending to insult wingnutt either just making a point of one of the tactics I see used by ALL SIDES that I most detest. I dont make any effort to get rank because CVs are the only reason I could see to have rank and endless lines of 234s or dive bombing lancs or what have you just gets old. Doesnt seem like people are in agreement as to having fun so I have taken to just flying with my squad or having fun some other way.

Enjoy yourselves.
