Jimmy, that is right, now I remember that it was Savatage.  Weren't there a couple of brothers in that band?  I remember back in the day they had a song that I thought was so good, along with an awesome music video, I forget the name of it but they were great, great musicians.  Did they have a song called something like "Hall of the Mountain Kings" or something?  That may be what I am thinking of.

Thought that was King Crimson (Adrian Belew)?

It's not just Christmas stuff.

I think of TSO as "classical music that ROCKS!"

Yeah, the Oliva brothers. Criss was killed in 1993 by a drunk driver and Jon continued the band to keep his brothers' music alive. The rest of the band hasn't played together since 2002. Not as Savatage anyway. TSO, oddly enough has been more commercially successful for them. Hall of the Mountain King was one of their best back in the day, almost as good as Maiden in their prime. IMO anyway,

I had to google Savatage yesterday and see if my Hall of the Mountain King reference was correct.  I agree with your comparing them to Maiden, I think that is what drew me to them.  Fantastic musicians making incredible music, I loved music back when people actually played their instruments.  What a shame about Criss. My favorite Guitar player (and I believe the greatest Rock/Metal Guitarist of all time) Randy Rhoads died way to early as well.  Thanks for the clarification, I can't wait for the show in 8 days.
