sitting in a gun ,  not uppin a plane = coward!

You know, the grunts in the mud would probably have a few opinions to share about anyone who gets to fight the entire time while sitting in a chair/seat.... just to put it in perspective.

---I think this is a great idea, and Bruv, this means the cowards who sit in guns have something to do and we keep the CV alive like they actually did or (tried to do) in WWII...No reason to lose a CV cuz nobody wants to man the guns, and the cowards get to stop flying and dieing and do something they like...--- :D
I'd love to do this!!!!! :aok :aok :aok

*yawn* Just another post from someone that isn't able to gain perks by flying due to lack of skill.  I agree with Bruv and Bronk, no perks for flak panzies.

this is an air combat game,  rewarding cowards who sit in ack guns blasting away at people who have taken time to bother to take off isn't cool IMO.

If they did change the way gunners get points or perks I say if they get killed by a plane or vehicle it counts as a victory for the opponent and a death to the gunner.

Would this include those who drop eggs on tanks.

Just wondering?

Where is the risk in flying a plane or driving a GV?  There is none.  If you die, your pixelated plane/vehicle has been blown up and that's that.  The only difference in manning a gun turret to flying/driving is that you cannot directly control whatever the gun is mounted on with your joystick.  The only conceivable risk is that your gunnery is not good enough and as a result you fail to shoot down an aircraft which then blows up your turret.

AFAIK perk points are not awarded on the basis of virtual 'risk', seeing as you can gain points from blowing up undefended strats.

IMO if perks were to be earned from using gun turrets, it would be appropriate to allow them to be used for perked ordinance (whenever that feature is introduced).

Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?

Really? Up a La7 and shoot down 4 P-51Ds.
Now up an FM2 and shoot down  4 more P-51Ds.

What's more riskier to fly hmmm?

Try this now. UP an FM2 on the side where ENY is in effect and shoot down a 109k.
Now go to the no eny side and shoot down another  109k.

What side is more riskier to fly hmmm?

The one that get more perkies is the riskier. :aok

i dont see how this involves skill, maybe its just how i play.. or would like to play... maybe its just a game and u dont hae to be a sniveling donut whipe about every person in the entire Golly-geen worlds post on the forum for this game ................maybe if u werent so stuck up in the air and tried out ground units for once maybe u would realize getting no perks in a gun u worked har on getting kills in suck.... but it does make u feel good when u save team mates from getting killed by helping them on the GROUND.

If you pepper a tank with .50 cals you're not going to do anything but waste ammunition or steal the kill from the tanker who should have gotten it.
