Here's an idea for an Arena setting...

When a plane vehicle dies it stays alive in the game as a burning / smoking crater.

Big fire, big cloud of smoke, oil slick where the boat went down, whatever.

Obviously not something we'd want in the MA (or set the time to dissapear to, say, 5 minutes tops)

I just like the aethetic of fields of burning tanks, plane wrecks, sunken ships cluttering the arena at the end of a scenario...

It'd be extra cool if in a scenario someone had to actually recon the battle field to determine enemy losses.

Just a thought.

I think a system for seeing destroyed aircraft  I'd like to see implemented here would be something more like Brand W's way of seeing and getting kills out of enemy aircraft. Once the plane is disabled (i.e. it can no longer sustain controled flight) the aircraft is counted as a kill,not the system we have now,which is prone for kill stealing,in which the aircraft counts as a kill when either you kill the pilot or the aircraft blows up.(kinda quakey IMO)

I agree. This is something i suggested a little while ago. Delayed cleanup of wrecks would increase the realism. In a battlefield one would expect burning wrecks and disabled vehicles.

For the fleet i would like a damage model like with planes. Vessels now either float or sink. Nothing in between. Lets have partly disabled vessels, some fire and smoke, and need of serious damage before they sink.

Agree. I suggested delayed cleanup of wrecks a little while ago. One would expect abandoned and burning wrecks on a battlefield. Would increase realism.

Fleet vessels should also alow for partly damage. Just as the planes. Vessels now either float or sink. Nothing in between. I would like to see vessels being partly brofken down by hits. Some flames and fires. Disabled turrets and so on, and then with serious damage in waterline, they sink.
