was an L he was flying  :aok

I just thought it was a great example of how stats turn rate etc dont really matter if you use a plane right. k4s usually excel in that kinda fight and fighting the inside line for a snapshot but by always turning to the right I couldnt use the engine torque to roll the plane and gradually got the energy sucked outta me :rock them heart in your mouth fights dont come along often enough in this game.

Stats on the L are misleading because so many take them up because of the amount of ords it can carry to hit a base. Most of those types can't fly it in a fight. The J carries better stats because most who fly them are heading to a fight and know more how to use them.

Yea seems people who fly the L are the people who think the last plane type on the list is the best. Kinda like when you see people flying the 190F like a dora. Then when you tell them it was a ground attack version they think you're lieing to get them out of thier uber plane. I like the feel of the J and adding to it is the great skins fester did for it. If ENY gets to high then Ill play corkyjr-jr and grab a G but overall Im a PJer.

They're right, the L model is the best out of the three.  Shuffler hit the mark square on the nail, it's not about whether or not people think the L is better, it's because the L can carry more ordnance.

Actually, I was in the 38J.  Count me among the few that prefer the feel of it over the L.

Was a truly great fight pervert.  :salute  Fights like those are what keeps me coming back for more after all these years.  Just wish I'd have filmed it.   :frown:

And for those people transitioning from other flight sims, make sure you set your joystick scaling right.  After struggling for a more than a few months, changing the default slider settings to what I ran in warbirds has made a world of difference in the ability to ride the edge of the performance envelope.  I want to smack myself for not realizing my mistake in setup earlier.

I know the L is better but IMO I think the J is the best 38.
