While on the Shelf
« on: November 09, 2008, 10:42:20 AM »
Since the focus of HT is going to be away from CT, maybe some added features can be suggested,

Supply convoy roads can be damaged.

Supply convoys if destroyed can reduce the resupply affect.

Dot commands list updated / most people do not know about .target and others.

  Submarines

Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon / Ventura

Polikarpov I-16

Northrop P-61

Firefly

Increase the hard factor for ammo bunkers.

Prevent from seeing bogie while looking up through heavy cloud cover.

Bomb holes/craters have affect on runways.

Battleships

These are just a few ideas that to bounce around

Destroying convoys does affect resupply.

We have the Firefly.

Water is a flat 2-D oblect, so no subs.  There's no "under" water.  I don't think anyone who asks for subs in the Wishlist forum realizes how slow WWII subs wee and would never catch a CV.  A PT boat with torps can do the same thing, at twice the speed.

Cratering the runway would kill all gameplay.

No subs. NO.

I think that ammo bunkers should have a mixed hardness depending on the base. ex: V bases stay the same, as the base gets bigger (Small, Med, Large) the ord needed to kill it increases.

Now that CT has been put on the back burner, maybe HiTech will revisit some of his ideas of things he wants to add to the game, like submarines.

We have the Firefly.
Not the Firefly he is talking about.  The Fairey Firefly Mk I was a Griffon powered, carrier based strike aircraft/heavy fighter.
