LATEWAR ORANGE PIZZA(ish) MAP
« on: November 08, 2008, 11:16:43 PM »
Good god, what a fight. I was on since about 8:30 AM (Texas time, dont know timezone), and up until around 5:00 PM, it was boring as hell. But as soon as people started getting off work, things got hot FAST. I have absolutely no clue how many missions the Rooklandistan Air Forces ran in a row, but they started around 4:00 PM and continued to about now, with NO breaks. (Thats around five hours STRAIGHT). And the entire northern offensive was started on a deep penetration raid to A6. After A6 fell, for a short while the RAF was taking bases at the rate of 7 fields per 5 minute period, and it was hella fun. After the Rook/Knight front stabilized (from rooks taking 41.2% of Knight fields) a new offensive was opened up on the Rook/Bishop front, although it moved more slowly.

whoopee it Rooks, you make me proud. That was the longest, most intense, largest offensive I have ever witnessed. Five straight hours of hell makes for one hell of a Saturday.

...for a short while the RAF was taking bases at the rate of 7 fields per 5 minute period...

Translation:  For half the night Rooks were hoarding undefended enemy bases because we were to timid to actually fight someone.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

And I had a blast shooting them. Like fish in a barrel. 110G drivers hopping into rear gunners position when being attacked...do I need to say more?   :rofl :aok

Were you there for the IJN air show?  :lol

Or maybe did you witness an IL2 get blasted by a Sherman's main 75mm gun?  :rofl

Or perhaps you got to plink at a horde of goons flying low and slow over a v-base?  :rofl :rofl :rofl

Damn good missions on the part of the 357th.
