Can something please be done with the ack gunners? Flying at over 400knots at 15k ft, flying a varying flight path and ack nails my engine first shot. If gunners were this good in RL, we wouldn't need the Patriot missile.

Toss em a sacrifice Raub. Let another friendly go in first to satiate it's appetite.

(agree. I'm really, really hoping the go back  to what they had before 1.05 or do something to change this ack. It focuses too much on one person at a time and at super long range too often. There needs to be a some sort of "here's enough to go around for everyone" algorythm as the gunnenrs of a fleet didn't zero in on one sucker and blast away letting others fly around with impune. .Perhaps if they explained how the ack works we'd see we're overlooking the human gunner factor. who knows?)

What I am interested in, is why some people fly through the ack without ever being shot by it.   Then someone else comes along, and dies first shot every time.

In my experience, the 88's--even the long-range fleet guns--are decoration.  But the people dying right away them are so numerous its clear something is up with the flak.

What could cause this?

Isn't the title of this thread an oxymoron?

Btw, the acks seem to be more of the Kenny Kingston variety.

the irritating part is, the 88,s are just eyecandy. The field ack was adiquit for stopping vulching, for months, before the high alt stuff was introduce. The irony for me is, the puffs of smoke are square. "They couldnt be less emmersive.
