Ok there are how many flight sims on the market that just support base capture....
Time to add something new!!!!!!!!
I just came back to AH after a couple of months off, woah new planes and vehicles... hmm still the same game though..
Here's an idea: (maybe not new)
Convoys, both land and sea.
Sea convoys start at some point on the map, and travel to say a countries port. The convoy consisting of (for example) 4 destroyers with player mannable AA, and 8 merchant ships. PT boat spawning permitted. For each merchant ship that makes it to the port, an increase in "productivity" points for that country. These productivity points directly affect a countries base rebuild times. and Or even base hardness.
Make the route for the convoy variable, be it by player adjustable waypoints, with start and end fixed, or have several fixed routes that the convoy can choose at random at spawn. Possibly have a new convoy launch every half hour to a max of say 2 convoys at sea per country at any time.
Land convoy: time to travel maybe an issue with land convoys, perhaps supply depots could be placed within a country's borders as departure points for land convoys to reduce the distance they must travel. Same route idea for the land convoy, M16 spawns permitted, no fixed AA with the convoy.
All friendly convoys marked on the map.
Also Land convoys could be in place between a country's factories and HQ, the more trucks that make it, the stronger the HQ is.
Railroads could be inserted in lieu of truck convoys between factories and HQ, with fixed AA.
Overall, more strategic targets would be great.
The above ideas I think might make the game more interesting for the strategist players like myself, it would also encourage convoy escort/destruction, and give players an alternative to fur and base suppression.
