Ping
« on: November 17, 2008, 03:19:51 PM »
Ok, first off I know Satellite is bad for any real-time games; however it normally keeps a 650-1200ms ping and no one really notices lag.

Recently I have been getting a really bad lag.  I start off 10 seconds with great 600 ping, then suddenly it jumps to 4000+.  I have tried the MS.CMD traceroute and it was terrible ping at the start and end.  Anyone have an idea?  Skuzzy recognize anything that is bad?

2.5 to 3 seconds is what I would expect from a satellite connection.  Looks normal to me.

Honestly I keep no more than a 1700ms ping on the arenas unless it's bad weather; average of 1000.  This is quite unusual for us.
Currently we are looking into getting Cable, Time Warner claims to cover this part, but I have never heard of anything out here.
