Video/sound problem

So for the past hour I have been trying to fix a problem that fast forwards all videos and mutes all sound on my computer, this includes flash videos (youtube), itunes, divx, windows media, and what not. other than that my computer is running fine, anybody have any ideas?

got an email about a virus going around with links to holiday cards - affects flash players and such
Any links you go to that were not known?
Do a virus search at micro trend about flash player virus

That might be your culprit
