Blood Dragons!

Well, HT/Pyro.. Et All.

I don't know if you have been reading the thread I started about ackstarring on the General Discussion board, but I did hammer one idear out of my head from it. Since folks want to fly bombers as fighters

Give us a Blood Dragon; B-335 I think they called it.

Make every gun postion a twin mount, double the ammo for the .50s.  take out the bombs.  Give it a gaudy paint scheme (White with Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, and Puple Polka dots.)

They flew faster than regular B-17s and had a problem staying with the formation.

Make ever gun postion manable, and give it no external views.

Er, actually they flew at the same speed until the B-17s dropped their bombs.  Then they flew slower.  The reason for this was because instead of bombs (which were no longer slowing down the B-17) they had the weight in ammo and armor, neither of which could be dropped.  So on the return leg the Escort 17s would have to form up with eachother while the B-17s zipped on ahead.
