I love my CH pedals.  Combined with a CH fighter stick.  I never calibrate and have had them manhandled numerous times.  They hold up real well.

I have CH pedals as well. The only complaint I have is that the pedals themselves are to close together. Other than that no complaints at all and I've had my pedals for more than five years.

I've heard good things about the Saitek pedals as well, but I don't have any firsthand knowledge of them.

I've had both CH and Saitek pedals.
The Saitek ones are much more comfortable than the CH ones. The stance is wider which IMO allows for a much finer control.

I've never had CH pedals, but chose to buy the Saitek pedals for the wider stance.  Been happy with them since about June.

No, I haven't.  I've been using my pedals for so many years that I've just gotten used to the narrower stance.  I saw a mod that did that once.  He made some angle brackets and mounted the pedals on the brackets.  I don't know how well it worked.  Looked a bit strange though.

I was playing around with making some force-feedback pedals one time.  Kinda interesting.  Like so many things, I got distracted and never did much with that.
