190a5/109g2 films
« on: November 23, 2008, 11:10:46 AM »
Here are 2 DA furball lake films, FW190a5 (small guns) and 109G2 w/gondies.

I reviewed them in slow-mo, and fixed, trails, yadda yaada and tried to put down on paper what I must have been thinking (it's mostly intuitive at this point).  I realize how fast this is actually occurring and all the factors involved - let's just agree i'm too lazy to type all that for what happens in a few mins. Someone else can point out the relevant parts if they want.  :noid

Let me just say this:  I try to maintain an awareness of my surroundings (SA) and will often switch off from one target to pursue or defend vs another.

if you watch the films internal with default views, be sure to toggle gunsight mode as my views provide more sight than the default (but not as much as viewing in gunsight mode.) This gives you a little insight to how i'm seeing, tracking and responding.  Forgive the occasional spazzy views (hat switch is a tad worn out to say the least).

190a5  vs seafire, 38 and seafire. kill #2 was the initial pony i must've pinged? i dunno.

109g2  speed kills.

I downloaded the A5 film.  It plays for about 16 seconds then ends.  What am I doing wrong?

hmm, i dunno... i opened the link and played it straight to the film viewer (not saved) and it played ok for me.

try saving it first?

an older film folder issue was the presence of too many films in teh folder 100+ and the veiwer would act wonky...  dunno if the plm still persists or it were just an issue on *my* end... but worth looking at.

messed up download or skin conflict maybe. try downloading again, works for me.

edit: most of the spitfire flying looks similar to the setup we did other day, or even less challenging at times. Think we did a good job of recreating that :)

great stuff in that 2v1, lots of key throttle work in the stall is most of what keeps your 190 from flopping, plus precise control and the obvious experience. The climbing shot on the seafire was clinical, easy place to mess it up in the a5.

And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

I made a G6 film in the Furball area today. Although I died, it showed that you can always be on the offensive, even with a great disadvantage like I was. If your lucky and you last that long, you should have a few buddies come in and save you, but I was unlucky and didn't get any.
