Western Digital 250GB Sata 16MB(X2)
Asus M2N-E AM2 PCIE MB

With the above package, do I need bigger/better "whatever" if I want to buy 24inch monitor ???
How big can I go whithout having to buy better video card  ????

This really has nothing to do with Tech Support, but...

Just for grins and giggles I've played on a 52" wide screen tv a couple of times. It's nice, but not needed.

I am sure your setup is fine for the biggest screen you can afford.  My PC is two years old now and has no problems driving 60" @ 1920x1080p with all AH settings maxed and Hi-rez pack.

OPP ...

I just went from a 19" to a 22" ... when looking for monitor, pay particular attention to the "ms" response time ... You will want to look at getting a monitor that has a 2ms response time ... anything after a 5ms things start to "ghost" ... at least for these old eyes.

This is the one that I just got ... SAMSUNG 2232BW+ Black 22" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 8000:1(1000:1)

$179.99 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate.

I just upgraded from a 19" 8ms standard... to a 22" 5ms widescreen.

The 19" was about 3 years old, but still worked perfect.  The only time I noticed 'blurring' with it was in a tank, fully zoomed in the turret, and scrolling rapidly to the left or right.

The new one is much better, and it's still a 5ms... otherwise I didn't have any blurring problems with either monitor.

I wouldn't necessarily invest extra money in a 2ms over a 5ms, but you probably don't want anything more than 5ms.

Your graphics card seems capable of handling large resolutions.

In a nutshell: go buy a square peg for your square hole.  In a hopefully-not-too-complicated-explanation: Check and see what your GC's maximum resolution is (Asus's website says it's 2048 X 1536 for your card), and then go invest in a monitor that suits that max resolution (monitors, besides their physical screen size, list what their maximum supported resolutions are and often what their "maximum-performance at maximum-supported-resolution is).  The only (sane) reason you would need a better graphics card is if you got some uber (expensive) monitor and then couldn't utilize that new uber monitor's maximum resolution because your GC can't supply it (sure you could force the square peg into the round hole, but it won't look purty).

I have two monitors, a 19" samsung LCD and a 20" widescreen samsung LCD (I'm a fan of samsung LCDs, both at work and home, quality/reliability/lifetime :aok you can find them on sale for a nice price too sometimes).  I use the 20"W as my main, and I must say, at an arms-length away it is awesome for gaming and entertainment.  My 19" was honestly too tall for my comfort as my main monitor at that distance (it was my main monitor for ~3 years before I got the 20"W).  Off and to the side my 19" is perfect (it still works perfectly, I just wanted 1) a widescreen and 2) an excuse to hook up two monitors to my computer :devil ).  I was thinking about getting a 22"W or a 24"W but at the time there was a great sale going on the 20"W I got, and now that I've gotten comforitable with it maybe the 22"W (certainly the 24"W) at an arms-length away would have the same "too tall" feeling I had with my 19" as my main at that distance.

Good luck with your monitor shopping.
