Close the AHGD and chances are the problems would get less. I doubt there's any type of regular topic where an argument isn't going on or where one person is trolling another...

Just my opinion.

I think it would cause more trouble.

Think of it this way:

Niagra Falls is flowing, no dams in the way, it's flowing full force. (Please remember this is in your mind, anything is possible.) Just before the edge of the waterfall there's a dam 15 feet above the water. It's about to be lowered into the water to stop the river of whining and unnecessary posts. The dam is finally lowered into the river and secured. Well, the dam holds up fine for a few minutes, until the whines and unnecessary posts begin to drain over the top of the concrete structure. Shortly thereafter the forces of the raging whines break the foundation of the dam and take it with them down the waterfall.

That's probably what would happen, except in this case the dam is HTC.

Posters are not Niagara Falls. Quite simple questions really.

How many man-hours are spent moderating ?
How much one man-hour cost ?
How many paying customers are really lost when they cannot post these 1 or 2 forums ?
Are these forums burden or entertainment  for HTC ?
If the latter is more true, how much you can afford for entertainment ?

Posters are not Niagara Falls....

It does appear that you have had, "one too many." Your brain cells appear to have been fried, KFC style.

I think you greatly overestimate how much it costs HTC to maintain the BBS.

As for my side i don't really post there, i like to post about the game, i've got other places to argue with people on todays pressing issues.

HTC could make the forums disappear, just for you. That may be a good option.

Its not that its a wate of time. Look at the rules of the oclub now. No talking politics and heated discussions. The bad side of that Is a lot of players started bringing it to 200 channel and country channel a lot. This made playing the game kind of bad in the sense that you couldn't get help to a base because everyone was talking /textinh over country channel about stuff they could have been discussing in here. If you got rid of general forum or half of them as you say, think of how much fun the comms would be in the game itself while you were trying to play it. I don't think you would like that outcome either. Yes some posts that people. Make can be pointless or rude, maybe even annoying. There are a lot here that do ask some pretty good questions. Some even have pretty good in game observations that others didn't know about. That's another aspect of what seperates this game from the good for a month play and beat once games that are out there. This one has a player base that can't be beat as a community. In game there are rivals and enemies. When we log off and come in here and talk about how to improve it. Razz eachother about how we got the kill. You won't see that put of an easports forum. Gotta stop now I'm getting long winded here. I drift sometimes. Big all!

Don't worry, I've get used to these dear anklehumpers.

You have a good point here. Better keep the trolls out of the core business.
