One of my favorite scenes from "Moby Dick"

This scene for me is what sets much of the authenticity of the time period portrayed.
You really get a sense of the Time and what it must have been like.
From the songs they sing while working.
To their women standing at the docks seeing them off. (note the old woman with the beard)

Even the hue of the color in the film somehow gives a sense of realism
Brilliant piece of film making.

All put together perfectly.
Something which for some reason in todays computer graphic special effects.
Todays filmmakers rarely  really "get"

Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty
